We are getting one close by that is supposed to open in the fall.

Anybody frequent Runnings? Are they any good as a sporting goods store?

We have one in Rapid City. I like it; decent gun selection, decent hunting clothing selection. Their gun prices are better than our Cabela's, at least on a few guns I've priced recently. For example, the every day price on Kimber Hunters was $750 vs. $899 at Cabela's.

I like them. They are like a fleet farm without the extra stuff

We have one in our smallish town. They have a pretty good selection and their prices are competitive. No guns in our store but they do have some ammunition and a small selection of hunting and fishing supplies. I like them.

Never heard of em.....we have something similar in the NW called North 40 Outfitters.
It's like a Cabelas and Tractor Supply all rolled into one.
Their prices are just average but it's handier than hell.

This
They have some great deals on shotgun shells before hunting season. I am about equal distance to FF and a Runnings. I like both of them better than Cabela's or GM even though I have to drive farther.

Tractor supply has about killed itself out around here. Every time that I go to one, I am disappointed that they never have what I need. Heavy on dog food and cheap made horse stuff. miles

I like the Red Hen. I agree it is better than the Boulder Tap House. We will have to do that one day.

After reading about this, I'm exited for Runnings to come. It will be 20 minutes from my house but on my way home from work depending which way I go.

Moorhead NEEDED something like this. There is literally zero cool stores left in that town.
