Strike that, there was one that didn't have a beer license but you could bring in your own. We brought in a 48qt cooler filled with beer.

I can also buy beer at a gas station at 8am on Sunday and I don't have to run out my backdoor if bad guys come in the front.

Pretty cool.

We don't have to unload rifles in the truck either.

None of my neighbors voted for Hillary either.

I don't need to buy beer before noon on a Sunday and why would any armed person with a pair of nuts have to run out their back door?

Sorry, I didn't realize that Minnesota was a stand your ground state.

Who cares if you need to buy it before noon or not. That's akin to all those Yankees that say 'I don't need an AR15'

That gun law is stupid.

My neighbors voted for Trump.

Minnesoda Democrats:

5 of 8 Congressmen.

Tennessee Republicans:

And I have the pleasure of knowing that I'm not paying Al Franken's salary.

We have the Twin Chitholes, Duluth/Iron Range area to thank for that chit

Well its just the House, it has to go further. The Senate will probably pass it and Gov. Dayton already said he'd "sign it" - but he is well known to change his mind - depending on whether or not his meds have kicked in.

Then they out to repeal the ban on selling cars on Sunday too.

Limiting the days of the week somebody can buy alcohol is almost as stupid as not allowing kids to sit at a bar with their parents which is almost as stupid as dui checkpoints.

But nothing is as dumb as telling a gas station owner he can't sell booze.

Well as a former MN resident, who lived close to the 'Sconsin border.... I can see where you have that point of view...

But MN limitations wasn't a problem, we just crossed the St Croix River and all of that wasn't an issue...

a simple reason why I love MOST of Wisconsin's laws over MN...

however the State Police were Nazis over on your side of the River....

would have lost my license in MN, courtesy of WI.. for getting 4 speeding tickets in Wisconsin in less than a year... all gotten on the interstate, in the middle of Nowhere, for exceeding the National 55 mph Speed Limit...

two were for doing 57 in a 55 zone, one for 56 in a 55 zone and one where I was really blowing down the highway doing 58 in a 55 zone... all were with the cruise control on and involved heading down hill, where the car picked up a mile or two per hour....

that kinda sucked about your fair state...

I solved the problem by going up to North Dakota, got a PO Box and put ND Plates and changing to a ND D/L....

as long as you pay the ticket out of state, it didn't go on your ND D/L....

Crossing across Missour on I 70 on a really hot day, I stopped off the interstate to get fuel and went into the little store to buy a beer to drink before I hit the road...

The lady told me that I couldn't buy just one.. I had to buy 3 for her to sell it to me...told me it was a State or local ordinance...

the thought was, buying one lead to drinking and driving...

buying three meant you were going to go home and drink it...

I think the law was passed by Drunks Against Mad Mothers ( MADD), Just to thumb their nose at them bimbos...

In North Dakota all stores close between midnight and noon on Sunday. We can buy alcohol.......but it has to be after noon. Restaurants were finally able to sell drinks at 11am on Sunday a couple of years ago.

A-fugking-men.

Ironically, the most laid back state when it came to alcohol and liquor laws I think I've lived in was Maryland. I don't think they had any limitations that I can recall.

In another turn of irony, the very conservative state of TX had some of the stupidest GD laws involving alcohol you could think of.
