I've found an MPI stock for one of my Mauser builds. I remember the old photo w/the pop sickle sticks in it but it seems like a decent fiberglass stock. This one is 30oz. Any thought on the quality of their stock? powdr

I have one on a Ruger MKII 358 win. Mine is one of the Lightweight versions, something like 22oz all up. Its well finished and seems stiff and has held up well. Mine was fitted and finished by Rick Steinhour.

I have only seen the ones on Dakota rifles and they looked good and had excellent ergos for me.

I have had one on a Rem 700 7mm Rem Mag for years and it has worked well. It's light and I've had no problems.

I had one on a .300 Weatherby Mag and really liked it. Solid but reasonably lightweight.

Thanks Guys. The pictures I got looked like a well made "classic" style stock. Just wished it had a cheek piece. Keep the ideas coming...good or bad. powdr

Any thought on the quality of their stock? powdr Never owned one, but have handled them a few times at the local sportsman show. They are nice people, but I grabbed one of the stocks this year and it felt like marshmallow surrounded with a candy shell. It literally crunched between my fingers. Soft core, and brittle shell. Not sure if they are all like that, but it definitely didn't seem like they put their best foot forward for the display booth.

I've got two of their kevlar classic models. They are very light, 18 ozs. ready to bolt up, and very stiff. No change in zero when using a tight shooting sling. Both have been knocked around a good bit, including some bad falls on rocks w/o signifcant damage. I can assure you they do not compress either from outside pressures or extensive shooting. E

I have one on my 6mmx222 lefty mini Mauser. I am well pleased with it. I was very happy with the customer service and the quality of the stock. Mine certainly does not feel like a hard shelled marshmallow. It seems to be a tough stock. I haven't tried to beat a sasquatch to death with it but I haven't babied it either.
Chronographs, bore scopes and pattern boards have broke a lot of hearts.

MPI stocks are dog schit. They cost more than a comparable McMillan. Nothing worthwhile to be had here. Buy something else (like a hunting lease!)
