Picked up a 1911 model H in 25/35 from a fellow who needed some Christmas cash. It is rough but the bore is good and the action tight. Would like to put the proper front sight back on it if anyone has one, also need a butt stock. Thanks in advance.

I stumbled onto some of those little S shaped lever safety tension springs that are NIB. Drop me a PM if you are looking for one.

Help! An old friend of mine is trying to get his Dad's 1904 Savage Takedown in shooting order. He needs a rear sight assembly for that rifle. I need the part or at least pointed in the right direction to find one. Thanks folks!

Dave

I think this is what you would need plus the fish hook elevator.
Price around $100 if you can find it.

Actually no. There is no rear sight dovetail cut into the barrel The rear sight is mounted on the barrel using a fine threaded screw. Elevation is accomplished via an elevation screw ahead of the dovetail. It mounts is a dimple in the barrel and screwed through the rear sight assembly.

Thanks, Dave

It's an actual model 1904, not a manufacture date.

GeneB posted a photo of the 1904 sights on 1/16/17, in a posting about a model 1904.

Can someone guide me to a source for a 1915 manufactured 250-300 perch belly butt stock; either original or newly produced by a quality gunstock maker? I need to replace the one presently mounted on my rifle.
Thanks,

Welcome to the site Quint. What's wrong with the original? If it's snapped in half, don't give up. Some of these guys have put some nasty breaks back together. On the other hand, someone may have a decent butt stock. Hang on a bit, Joe.

I'm not greedy, I just want one of each.

Anyone have an elevation screw for a Lyman 56? Don't need the cap, just the screw.

A Lyman 57 or 48 won't work.

Near impossible to find. You can make one out of a small safety pin. Do you have the original?

I sent a private message. Look for a flashing envelope at top of page.
