Looking for a front site hood. My favorite new rifle Anybody know where I can find one? In my experience with three Husky rifles is that the front sight hood will easily slip off the rifle when it is being shot. On my FS I currently use a smaller hood from a mini-Mauser. It fits tighter than the HVA hood. My experience with CZ hoods is they fit very tightly. Factory HVA hoods start to slip off after just a couple of shots.
Most people lose HVA hoods so spares are in short supply.

http://shop.cz-usa.com/ProductDetail/5110011101_Front-Sight-Hood-452527550I just tried the hood from my CZ452 on a HVA 270. It fits but I have not shot the rifle with it on. The CZ hoods are a different shape than the HVA hoods and you may not like the appearance. They are for sale and do fit the groves on the HVA sights.
