I have two M1's, does that count? I think the differences are mostly cosmetic. My two shotguns have been flawless.

Love mine. Sent it to Rob Roberts and turned it into (sort of)performance shop model. Having said that, I picked up a used Cordoba 20 (actual)Performance Shop and shot that exclusively for honkers this season.

I don't own one, but if I were to buy another gun to duck hunt it'd be an M2.

Killer all purpose gun. I have a M1 with a M2 barrel on it. Not to heavy to carry not so light as to knock your fillings loose. Only difference between the M1 and M2 is the choke tube and the stock and forearm. All other changes are cosmetic.

I have both a SBE, and a M2.

I like the M2 for how fast I can get up and on target, the SBE is. Better for geese and swing buys, but I use 3" for duck's so I can use the M2.

Plastic trigger group vs metal . I would not trade my M1 for 2 M2's

I think that the SBEII actually carries a bit more neutrally and swings better than the M2, due to the bit of extra weight in the steel "receiver" portion of the barrel, rather than the alloy of the M2.

But both are absolutely great guns if you want an inertia gun. You could also get a Franchi Affinity for less money and yet have just as good of a gun.

I handled an m2 20 gauge yesterday. Felt perfect for ducks in timber. I look at the affinity. Thanks

The Franchi Affinity puts the recoil spring under the forearm, which makes it easier to get to for maintenance.

You will enjoy that M2 - been hunting with mine for six or seven seasons now - great shotgun.
