My Gramps passed many years ago, Dad passed last year. Both of my Uncles are up in years now and don’t hunt anymore. I searched this story out because I had lost that picture of my Dad and my Gramps in the back of the truck. So many hunts, so many memories. Make the best of them because one thing is for sure. Time marches on.

Thanks for bringing that story up again. Very enjoyable read!

Have you been back chasing bears on the tundra since then?

Your bear hunt was so well documented. If you have time I'm sure all of us would really like to read about the blacktail. That is a stud!

Thanks again

No. My brother moved back down to Washington so my cheap bear hunts are over. Mainly just chase Blacktails around now days.

The big one got away! I was actually after a bigger buck than him. Saw him about 10 minutes after I shot this guy. The one I got was 7pts shy of making the Book. The one I was after dwarfed him.
