Not at all typical of any of the hunts I've been on in Africa.

Seeing game - both DG & PG, depending on what we were hunting - and getting shots at good representative specimens has not been an issue. It always takes work, but not seeing game represents a problem with area hunted and therefore, the PH's and/or outfitter's judgement.

Sounds like the hunt took place in the wrong area, maybe wrong time for what you were hunting.

I would not pay the trophy free upfront, Its just too easy to get on the Cell/WiFi phone and have the money wired to the outfitter for less then $50 bucks. A cheap insurance policy to me.

Why would one be responsible for trophy fees if he does not take an animal?

I booked with Martin fall of '13 and had the great pleasure of Chap as my PH. Couldn't be happier. I didn't shoot the biggest, but had an awesome experience. My dad and I talk of it on a regular basis.

I hunted with Chappy, in '14 and had a great time. He is one of the good ones.

I would never pay any portion of a trophy fee up front. A portion of the daily rate fees of course.

That is exactly how we handled it one my one trip and we settled up completely, to include tips, before I left.

Since you would still consider justifiably warning people in the future over the same thing then
why do you call it character assassination?

AR?...lol..AR can be a strange peverted place where some will defend undeniably crooked and dishonest gunsmiths
with moderators removing threads that honestly attempt to expose poor business practice gunsmith friends of theirs...
Its also a place where some will say nothing about a life threatening firearms unskilled celebrity hunter who shoots
his PH, or even go on the attack toward the PH and his family all while consoling the fool that shot him!
What im saying is, from the delusional irrational downright as*hole behavior you can encounter on AR ,even if they have
experienced a problem with MP, they might just well just decide to keep quiet about it, just like Chipolopolo is choosing
to be silent on a past bad experience.

This thread shows plenty of train wrecks have occurred in the past with PMS, no pun intended.
