...and it was tasty.

Sauce was eyeballed with diced cilantro, diced garlic, diced ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, 1 T sugar, juice from 1/2 a lime, and a dash of olive oil.

Tuna steak was seared in a SMOKING HOT cast iron skillet in peanut oil for 15 seconds per side.

Served with sliced avocado, and additional course fresh ground sea salt and pepper.

Original recipe I based this on called for diced jalapeno too, which I didn't have. Next time, I would serve with paper-thin sliced serrano peppers as a garnish, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds as well.

Then............ it would be perfect.

That looks awesome!

I love either raw tuna or seared tuna. Those that don't do raw fish are missing out. Do they have their steaks cooked well done?

I have eaten raw fish and know that I am not missing out. I can do seared, if tuna.

A friend has a recipe for marinade and then does them seared or grilled after being dipped in sesame seeds.

It is friggin incredible.

As far as sauce goes:

duck, after looking over your sauce recipe again, I'd say you're darn near right on it, man.
