I was doing a little snooping on the Winchester website and it appears there are no Lefthand Model M70s? That's rather dismal. I'm a lefty. Well, I got my fathers Winchester M70 lefty Safari Express in 375H&H. Its a Post '64 Controlled Round Feed. Referred loosely now a days as 'Pre 64 by some folks as its Mauser style and not the Remington style push feed. Its basically like NIB or very close as my father only used it once in Tanzania to take 2 Cape buff. He's a wuss now that he's old now so I gave him a few bucks for it.(and I scored for free his Weatherby MK5 300 Weatherby mag. Since I already have my own Win 375 in A Super Express, that I dearly love, and will be a Hobo living under a bridge before I ever sell mine, my questions are this. Did Winchester make a bazillion of these lefty 375 Safaris or only a few thousand? What's its worth. I figure about a grand or so. I don't wanna sell it. Maybe just put it in the back of the safe for a rainy day. And one last one. Can the M70 MAGNUM receiver do a easy 416 Rugby swap. Not a swap to 416 Rem. I'm nostalgic and want a 416 Rugby.

Don't know the exact number of LH M70's in .375 H&H,but,it was not many.

Probably worth more than a grand as there are few LH M70's in .375 H&H.

As far as turning the M 70 into a .416 Rigby,it can be done, but it will not be easy or cheap. Better off getting a CZ 550 .416 Rigby.

You might be very surprised at what you could get for that LH 375..

I'm betting if you put it on Gunbroker with excellent pics you might see bids upwards of $1500..
