GG, i had a patient last summer who had just become a pediatrician. After an analysis of the costs of setting up a clinic and comparing it to what most pediatricians are making these days with all the kids on medicaid and realizing she would be working 60+ hours a week and still probably go under, she realized she would make a lot more money, work and have less stress by becoming a life flight care nurse-which she did. http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/archives/the-coming-doctor-shortage

I wish I wasn't to old and had the time to do the work to become a life flight care nurse.... air evac is stationed here and it might transfer as a job to Alaska fairly easily...
We can keep Larry Root and all his idiotic blabber and user names on here, but we can't get Ralph back..... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over....

States that won't allow caps on medical lawsuits are losing Doctors because malpractice insurance has skyrocketed, especially for OB and pediatricians, in our sue-crazy population. And of course, so many other government and job related obstacles to making a living for Doctors. Its nuts. Yes, way too many middlemen with their hands out, between us and our Doctors.
