I am going to try Varget in my .257 Roberts and .35 Whelen, what has been your experience with this powder in these calibers?

I think it would depend on bullet weight. Varget is pretty fast for heavier bullets in the Roberts.

Here's a link to work I did with that round. H100V was the best performer with 100 gr. TTSX, H-4350 with 115 gr. NBT's.

My rifle doesn't like heavy bullets, it shoots 100gr. just fine looking for Varget loads for that bullets.

I shoot 225 Accubonds in my Whelen, and chose between Re15 and Varget. Either of the two will work really well with that combo. Wish I could say I know 200s and 250s would perform the same, but I stuck with the 225.

My experience:
Varget is not as accurate in either cartridge as IMR4895, IMR4064, and H4895.
Never jumped on the Varget bandwagon for 308 or 30-06 M1 and M14/M1a loads either. Plain old IMR4895 always proved more accurate for me.
