Looking to mount a Leupold M8 or FXII 2.5 Ultralight scope on my Ruger #1A in 7x57. Is this scope long enough to work with the factory rings on the factory rib?

The 2.5 was the first scope I had on my RSI No. 1. It worked fine with the factory rings.

Yup. I used Leupold low ringmounts to stick the 2.5 on a .45/70.
These days the scope's on a Sako High Power (FN) .30/06 in low Talley Lightweights. Handy setup.
What fresh Hell is this?
