At the gunshop today and they just took in a nice Winchester 55 in 30wcf, came out of a collector's closet and is in very good to excellent condition. It is a takedown, which I believe was standard for that model, but my question for you guys is value. He's asking 1500 for it and I am 3/4ths tempted to buy it just because the condition is so nice. Is that price in line or high? Thanks for the feedback! Steve.

Without seeing it, it's hard to tell. Doesn't seem out of line for a nice one. Compare its condition with the 55s listed by some of the more well known sellers on Gunsinternational.
