The permit has a couple of extra restrictions, but 18 year olds can now get concealed carry permits in Utah. The Governor signed the bill yesterday.

Turning 18 has gotten a LOT of kids killed -
in WWII, Korea, Viet Nam, Yugoslavia, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc. etc.
They were NOT carrying concealed, either.

Any citizen of this country regardless of age should be able to own and carry a weapon without and type of permit or permission from the government or state period.

I had a concealed carry permit at 19 in the state of New York, but Federal law wouldn't allow me to purchase a handgun. I could receive one as a gift, though, so a cop bought me one and gave it to me as a gift. At the same time I gave him a gift in the amount of the handgun's price.
