A useful cartridge, blued steel and real walnut makes a good combination almost every time. Nothing wrong with that rifle!

Wow - yours is sharp! Mine's been worked on a bit. Previous owner added the pad and checkering. It really likes Hornady Interlok 150SP driven hard with Varget. Enjoy your 722 300!

Thanks for all the comments guys. MtnBoomer, I like your setup. Mine came with a receiver sight too, but I already have a Remington model 30 set up that way. I just thought I'd put a period scope on one and see how it goes. I'm very satisfied, but checkering would be nice.
