Curious what the value a Brno ZG47 (Parker Hale Hussar) barreled action in .243 might be. And also, will any Mauser 98 bottom metal will fit?

I believe it is standard Mauser length, so any 98 bottom metal should fit.

As to price, it seems to be all over the place. Have one in 30-06 I tried to sell for less than I paid six years ago, but with no luck. I've seen them go from $650 to $1500, depends if you find the right buyer.

They are great actions, double square bridge, straddle floorplate, cool factor in the safety, etc. Love them and always wanted to build on one but that won't happen.

All over the place is what I found too.

Got one coming next week that I have no real plans for. Just seemed like a cool rifle.

Yep , ZG 47s are like the other Brno commercial mausers M21, M22, of the same era.
Some asking crazy prices and then you come across what I call really great deals.

I came across an M21 7x57 virtually as new in original box with factory test target and all
..All in top condition as from the shop (something like 60yr old) ..passed it up for around $2000
and still regret it....I would have sold everything else and just hunted with that till I die.

Others M21s that were very good-excellent, I payed from 700 to 1100.

Calibre plays a part in what people will pay, If one had say a 9,3x64 ZG47 it would pull a big premium
if the owner knows what he's got.

If I was in the serious hunt for a 47 action for a build/rebarrel..I might pay around +/- $800 for what you have.
on the proviso the action itself is all complete and original, and excellent metal condition.

Is it missing the bottom metal? or are you looking to replace it?

If replacing it, I'll buy the original from you.

I'd be interested in the original safety as well, if you plan on replacing with a 3 position.

It may just be standard Parker Hale alloy bottom metal. Should hit Tuesday, will let you know.

The ZG47 are more common in Canada than in the USA it seems. I just bough one in 30-06 last year for $950 Canadian with a Lyman 2.5 scope in Weaver mounts, it was in VG-EX condition. I sold it last month for $1250 without the scope.
So that's pretty close to US$1000.
edit: see below re: PH Hussar

I don't know if matters for value, but was yours a Parker Hale "Hussar" or straight-up ZG47?

The PH Hussar rifles sell for a bout a 30% discount in Canada. They are not as high quality as the ZG47. A Hussar would do nicely as an action donor for a custom project.

So PH bought them in white and then did a less than stellar job on fit and finish?

Am interested in seeing if they used the same trigger and bottom metal as the PH 1200s.

Picked up the PH up Friday, looks like everything but the wood is BRNO.

Just enough variation in parts that swapping with standard 98 parts would require some extra work.
