Looking to add one to the lineup. They're on sale now and have liftime warranties, anyone have any experience? Looking at the 10in, possibly 8.7? Any suggestions or advice?

I don't use the Cabelas stuff because I have found a few I like better for much less. To each his own but I like this one from Ebay. Mike http://www.ebay.com/itm/Electric-Deli-Meat-Slicer-Food-Cheese-Steel-Blade-Cutter-Machine-Home-Kitchen-/162373798029?hash=item25ce3b888d:g:f3wAAOSwjDZYi6Dh

We've had one of their slicers for about 8 yrs and had no problems. Used it to slice about everything sliceable including ham, brisket, and meat for jerky. Paid $99 plus change.

I use one. I make jerky with it and have had no problems so far with the slicer itself, but the purchase of it, was a nightmare.
I had a visa gift card to use, and a cabelas gift card to use up, and needed a slicer that was advertised. They were out. Then they tried to substitute a different version than i wanted. I wasn't happy, but accepted the offer. Then they lost some of the parts (primarily the blade) and could NOT under any circumstances, order a spare blade. (Couldn't get the part number, or some silly crap). So they ordered in the replacement slicer (not my original choice) and When it arrived, I was to pick it up at thier location, but it was not there when I attempted pick-up.
After an hour of "where the heck is my package?" It turned out they had mailed it to my home, but never notified me, or changed the paperwork.
Very slipshod effort on thier part. I'm a bit gun-shy of ordering ANYTHING through them again.

the only real difference between a good tracker and a bad tracker, is observation. all the same data is present for both. The rest, is understanding what you're seeing.
