Barrel might have a Chicopee Falls address on it, indicating it was from 1959 and the earlier plant. Savage moved in 1960 to Westfield, and started off their 99's with the serial number 1,000,000 there. “The Savage 99 Pocket Reference”. All models and variations of 1895’s, 1899’s and 99’s covered.
