I can't get photobucket to work or I would load a picture. I have a set of rings that are 30mm and appear to mount to a rail. The only difference is ONE of the set has a notch out of the stationary side of where it would attach to the rail. There is no bar to fit in the groove of the rail. The screw to tighten the rings on the rail is a recessed star bit screw (leupold fits).

I thought these were regular rings when I bought them but when I went to mount them last night I could not get them to work on a picatinny rail.

Any help is appreciated. I do not have the box obviously l. I purchased them last year from a gun shop in the clearance bin.

Check to see the groove on the bottom is a dovetail? Could be that they are for a Sako dovetail mount? Just an idea without seeing them.

Good luck,

Probably rimfire dovetail rings... are they too small to fit on a normal picatinny?

If so, they are probably 3/8" dovetail rings, throw them in the trash. If your rifle came with that base, buy a picatinny adapter and either remove the origional base and trash it or screw in your adapter over it (many are integral to the rifle and go that route...

No, they are pretty heavy duty rings and appear to be well made but I've been wrong before.

Certainly not Tikka T3 rings. The T3 uses a pin in the front ring for a recoil lug.

They look like Brno or CZ 550 type rings

I recognized that weird recoil lug setup from seeing a BRNO and a few CZ 550 factory rifles and rings.

Although, I have no clue what brand rings those are. You should be able to get a decent amount if you sell them. Definitely not .22 grooved rings

I appreciate the help. I will probably post them up for sale soon or for trade for something I can use.

Looks pretty close match to Leupold CZ 30mm medium matte rings. $66 on MidwayUSA.

Midway CZ 30mm

They would be for the 550, because the 527 does not have the projecting recoil lug
