I've never put that many miles on a pickup, but my Dad's 73 Chevy 4x4 was worn out at 53000 miles. The cam lobes were so worn it couldn't be properly timed, was on it's 4th clutch, and the 4wd lever was loose as can be. It was was 17 years old, had fed cows every day of the winter feeding season for that time, and had hauled fuel, a sprayer, and gone fencing and farming all those summers. He changed oil every 800 miles since it seldom saw more than 10 miles of highway at a time.
The guy who now leases that farm has a 96 F250 with the 460 motor. Was riding with him noticed it wasn't pulling too well, asked him how many miles. He said he wasn't sure cause there was so much dust behind the plastic in front of the odometer, but the first number was a 4! But along with the farming/feeding miles he puts a lot of highway miles on too.

had a '74 GMC ranch truck. we put 400K+ miles on it, with very few easy miles. it did take four rebuilt engines, numerous clutches, ect... and it wasn't pretty at the end of it all, but I wish I could get one like that again.

Ive got a 2003 z71 Tahoe that now has 330,000 miles on it. I did however put a Hummer H2 rear end under it with 4.10s and a Eaton Elocker and a front diff out of a 2005 z71 with 4.10s.
Along with a 6.0 i rebuilt with heads and a cam.
The 6.0 come out of my silverado that i put 260,000 miles on. 220,000 miles of that was with a Isky Turbo cam and a 75mm turbo making a little over 650HP and towed with it every week and played at the drag strip many times. 320# of nitrous and gallons of -30* Windsheild Washer Fluid was consumed in its life time.

Lifter took out a cam lobe so i rebuilt it and put it in the Tahoe where it now has 310,000 miles on it and going back with the same turbo i had on the silverado. Love to hear the whistle..

Freshened up the 5.3 out of the tahoe and put a smaller Isky cam in it with better heads and put it in the silverado with a smaller 68mm turbo.

Thats the only 2 trucks ive ever had so cant add much else..

220,000 on a 2000 F150. Current 2004 F250 has 105000 on it and has been in the shop far more than my F150 ever was.

Not really a truck, but my second cousin swears he put over 500,000 miles on an "OJ" style Ford Bronco. It was primarily highway and he ran AMsoil.

268,000 miles on a 1981 F150 with the inline 300, 6 cylinder. The guy who bought it ran it for 3 or 4 more years....

Let's go the other direction. I am driving a 1987 Jeep Cherokee 2 door with only 64000 miles on it. Bought it December 2015 with 57000.
It is now my daily driver. Liking it more every day.
Take care, Les

Well, my parts delivery guy's Toyota finally died about 3 weeks ago. He sold it as a parts truck to some kid who needed some body panels for $300.00. 751k miles on the original engine and transmission (Automatic). He bought it used with 60k miles on it, and it spent it's entire life in stop and go Metro Atlanta traffic. Quite an accomplishment.

I bought a 1995 F-150 302/5spd in 1998 with just over 100K on it. Previous owner made an ~80Mi round trip commute to work on 4-lane blacktop. I sold it 5yrs later with just under 200K. I replaced the plugs and had the front suspension (tie rods/ball-joints etc) rebuilt right when I bought it. Had the 5spd rebuilt @ 175K, the fork for 2nd/4th was so worn that I only had 1st/3rd/5th to get to the tranny shop.

It used ~1qt of oil every ~2k Mi. When it was 1qt low I'd pull the filter, put on a new filter and dump in 2 fresh qts. Every 10K I'd dump it all. Ran Mobil 1 and didn't ever have even a hint of engine trouble.

My 08 Tundra with 130k miles on it was just totaled. I replaced it with a super clean 08 Tundra with 113k miles on it.

I don't know how anyone can handle that traffic. I am about to pull the trigger on a Tundra in a week or so.

I've got 250 on my 2000 7.3 excursion and 325 on my 91 4runner. My duramax is the spring chicken with only 150k.
