John

Have you had a chance to evaluate the Leica Geovid R or the Nikon Laser Force binocular?

I'm looking for a replacement 10X binocular and happened upon these two while searching MidwayUSA for current prices and trends. Both appear to be new for 2017.

Thanks,

Scott

No, I haven't tried those--but hope to get my hands on a Nikon. If it works like they say, with optics like they say, it would be a good deal.

John, thanks for the info.

Trying to dip my toes into the RF bino market.

Wasn't sure if a "down-graded" Leica outperformed an "up-graded" Nikon Monarch 7.

I have the old 8.5x Nikon Monarch X bino's and have been really happy with them. Not planning on replacing them.

The Vortex Fury is going to be a very good one as well. $1200 for Viper HD glass and a very good LRF. Best yet, Lifetime warranty on the electronics as well as the bino. Nikon only gives one year on electronics.

From what I understand, the binos require an additional coating with the laser. I'm curious what impact that has on the image. I have some Vortex Viper HD binos and am very interested in the Furys.

I found a demo at Cameraworld, worked with Doug and the guys. I got a Victory 8x45 T* RF binoc at about half retail. It's a great binoc and the RF is really good.

Give them a call, they're Fire supporters.

Agree, Doug is great to work with. He sold me the Nikon Monarch X bino's in 2010 (I think) that I don't want to part with!
