I suppose this is being done and fairly easily. What are some resources for doing this? I have an extra 10/22 I'd like to convert. Thank you for any info.pak

A 10/22 can go to .172 but not .17HMR. Need the 10/22M for that. Either way a bbl is obviously needed and at a minimum a new bolt handle. i used a ER Shaw bbl and a Magnum Research bolt handle.

This might be worth a shot.

CCI Technical Support, Lewiston, Idaho

Ask for Coy Getman, he's as up to speed on the 17s as you'll find......helluva nice guy, to.

coy dot getmanATK.com 'ya know close it all up and . , etc.

He helped me out with a bunch of rimfire pressure questions, and all of his advice worked for me.

Don't dismiss a quality re-line, for this job.....they're scary accurate, properly done......and Hammer Forged Chro-Mo will take the beating that a rig like this will inevitably endure.

you can convert a std 10/22 LR to a 10/17 17HRM. Go to www.Rimfirecentral.com and do a search. I got a little lost in what they were doing but it has been done.

I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects

I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....

There's a barrel and equipment to convert on Auction Arms right now offered by a gunsmith from the northwest US.

Heres a link to a great place to deal with. Shooters discount I bought a Majestic arms 17 hm2 barrel and bolt package from them as well as a B&C stock to make this lil critter gitter.
