The skeeters have picked up their pace. At my parents cabin in Solon Springs yesterday, the meeting place was apparently my legs.

Pass the Calamine lotion please. I've got a couple of skeeter bites that itch like heck.

Lot of rain in the North Monday. Some spots had nearly 4". Highway 29 West by Marathon City was closed last night due to flooding.

Wow! that's plenty of rain!

I have 2 bites on the top of my foot driving me nuts. It was fine when I didn't have to wear work boots. smile

No skeeters here yet, I am crossing my fingers that for some reason they wont be here this year!

Big work weekend here around the house. Lets see, we bought 32 feet more of dock and put all 120 feet in. Lotsa work there trying to match up 3 docks. Then we cleared down by the lake Sunday, did a little bit of fishing Sun night and caught some crappies. yesterday was food plot work and electrical work in The Roost. Pretty darn productive weekend.

The place looks great Ryan! Good luck selling it. What is the plan when it sells?

Put some rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball or Kleenex then dab the bite area. It'll fix you right up. That's what all those fancy pants bite and sting relievers are made of. wink

Actually saw a number of them in Texas when I was in the service. Been just ahead or behind a few in my travels over the years. Nothing to mess with.

seen several twisters on the prairie, but this one was in the black hills in some of the most rugged part. everyone says tornadoes can't form in mountains.

I heard about that one on the radio yesterday. had some good sized hail in parts around here. pingpong ball size they said. saw one someone found that was almost the size of a snuff can. thems will do some damage if they hit ya.

4/03/1964 an F5 tornado hit Shepard AFB in Wichita Falls, TX. I was supposed to arrive there from San Antonio later that same week. Ended up staying in San Antonio for another week.

Never forget the destruction that we saw when our bus got near the base. The one thing that still sticks in my memory is seeing a railroad tie bent up and twisted like a pretzel. If I live to be a 100 I'll never forget that sight.
