Bill, I don't remember if it you that was shooting with me or not.... But I had a ruger 77 with a tang safety, in 7x57. It was shooting fantastically, but would hang the spent casing up when it was ejecting.

I ended up trading that and $1700 for the Honda 4-wheeler I have now. Another "no-brainer". I told the guy about the casing hang ups but he really wanted that rifle.

That was me, Tom.

I had a top tang 77 in 7mm mag. It didn't shoot worth a darn. Never played with the bedding or angled screw though. My buddy from LA had one in a 300 Mag and it didn't shoot either even though he had it worked over by a gunsmith.

Another friend had one in a 300 mag and it shot great right out of the box.

Don't recall when Ruger started making their own barrels, but the Mark II Ruger 77's were all pretty good right out of the box. The 257 Bob that I bought for my granddaughter is a Mark II and it shoots great. My #1 Ruger is a awesome shooter.

We just had to go to our designated storm shelters here at work due to a tornado warning. It appears to have gone SE of us.

Cass County (includes fargo) had a tornado warning, nothing spotted the weather guys were justifying their fancy equipment......the warning was 1/2 hour west of here.

I spent 19 hrs on the road to go inspect a piece of equipment.

Salesman sent some pics & it looked fine to me.

Dealer had someone do an equipment appraisal which looked great.

He ensured me many times of the great condition of the rig.

I get down there & could tell in a couple of minutes that the drive was a complete waste of time. An excavator with a welded boom & stick is a big deal. It's something to disclose. That & overall a sloppy machine. The appraisal was false.

What the heck happened to honesty? He knew I was driving all that way to inspect. Did he think I was blind?

I hope he goes broke. Rant off.

It was a pleasant drive though. I had a neighbor/friend come with for company.

My new to me F350 is SOOOOO comfortable. The cooled leather seats really cut down on the swass.

16.6mpg round trip. 6.2 gas with nothing being pulled. I'm not disappointed with that either.

Yeah and work took the opportunity to test the new warning alarms and cram everyone into little rooms for 1/2 hour crazy

this morning ended up being a sad one for me. the last of my blueberry jam was used frown I made a bunch 3.5 years ago when Dave invited me up to pick.

Wow. That's impressive WB.

Sorry your trip was a total waste of time and money though. You never really can trust those kids from WI.
