one of you guys should have this H&R sidekick, stainless synthetic.( camo taped)
Ive had it for a few years now, only shot it three times.
(I have 3 other muzzleloaders)
got primer carriers, primers( three missing),2 sets of fire sights, ramrod, tool, papers, hammer extension, etc.
I'd want to keep the scope and rings.
previous owner said it shot real high with the issued sights,I had redneck re crown it and shot it with the scope only, seemed to work just fine.
pm me if interested.

fluffy, the H&R had two kinds of breech plugs. They were screw in and push in.If the particular rifle is a push in breech plug and is in .45 caliber I may have an accessory for it that might REALLY interest you.

If you have to take a second shot then you probably shouldn't have taken the first shot.

Finally got around to finishing up a couple knives.

First one is a Karsuando blade(3 1/2") of 12c27 stainless from Sweden. Handle is whitetail antler and maple with red & black spacers
[Linked Image]

Next is one I made, 3 1/8" blade of D2 and orange G10 with black liners.
[Linked Image]

Both need to find new homes, $60 for the Swede and $130 for the D2.

thanks....Jeff

Yes we still have the dark house. It will be coming home soon for some modifications. It doesn't carry up as well as it should in deep snow.

Jeff,

Love the D2 & if not for cross border & currency/payment issues, I'd be all over it !

Thanks Dave.

For us, it's always about the meat supply !

Deb & I shared half a tenderloin (inner) last night.

Sauted an onion, add chopped old style bacon & browned.

Finely sliced the half tenderloin across the grain. Thickness of a filleting knife.

Once pan was smoking hot, added the venny, ultra quick sear, turn meat, add good splash of red wine, which will boil & reduce very quickly, due to the pan heat. Serve with homemade buns/bread.

DELICIOUS !

Goalie,

Temps just at freezing & heavy skies, light misting rain. Left the 99 at home in it's case !

Couple of pics from earlier in the season !

Dave,

You guys see anything over the w/e?

Coworker was up in Birchdale and got a 8 point on Sunday morning.

Thanks for the comments on the knives. We all have our talents, sure wish I could build a car like you can. Any updates on Mom's whiskey runner?

We didn't see any deer over the weekend.

The galaxie project is progressing nicely. I have a lot of filthy work behind me, that's where I like the filthy work to be lol.
