Bass are spawning or just finishing depending on the lake, bluegills are shallow and muskies are liking big spinnerbaits and copperb bladed bucktails...

Well we are home safe and sound, I'll need some time to sort through photos and upload to my photobucket account so I can post them. It was a very good trip, lots of fun and decent weather.

Back to work tomorrow.

-edit-

Ok here's one photo for now.

Our annual group photo at a campsite.

Great pics Dave. The wife realy liked the cabin. She said she could handle roughing it there.

The wife and SIL had a run in with a bear last week. They had gone for a walk when a bear crossed the road in front of them. Shook both of them up.

I want to go back there for 3 or 4 days sometime. It would actually be really nice if me and Pam could manage a trip like that and leave the kids with the grandparents or at an orphanage or something... possibly a work camp... lol!

Of course if it was just 2 of us we wouldn't need a big cabin like that, I'd be looking for something smaller. But I'd love to return and just do our fishing from the lodge with one of their rental boats or bring a small fishing boat along.

I think there would be plenty to explore and enjoy right there on gunflint lake.

Lemme guess...it was the road that heads into Timber Cove? I've seen more bears on that 1 mile stretch of road than I've seen in the rest of MN/WI combined. They must be the happiest bears around being fed by all the campers in that area.

lol I'm looking forward to the weekend myself. next week I have my first corporate retreat thing, monday-thursday but its in MN by the cities. I'd just as soon stay here and work because we need to spray and start irrigating, but its mandatory. I've never been held back from work by a boss before to such a degree smile

how was the fishing up in the BWCA?

That would be the place. I saw several of them last year.

Sounds interesting Tom. Definitly going to check it out.
