Just received great news on the home front. Our daughter has been hired as a special ed teacher by the Mosinee school district. smile She will have to return to school to get her special ed certification. In the mean time she will be teaching under a temporary emergency certification. Four long years of subbing have finally paid off!

Great news Bill!

Have her log on to the fire, we could use a special ed teacher around here.

I was going to say, she could save some money by not going back to school and just babysit T-zone for awhile. Heck Betsy would probably pay her very well!

grin

Thx Stan.

Well after 4 days of rain the contractor was finally able to start work on the house. He stripped off about 3/4 of the siding today. Of course there were a few surprises (water damage) that will need attentending to.

He'll finish striping the siding on Monday and start putting in the new windows.

SIL hauled almost 300 pounds of aluminum to the recycling center. He'll have another load on Monday.

Sneaky water damage. Sounds like you found it at the right time bill.

I've been goofing off with the boat for nearly 3 hours. Took it to get gas and had no breaks on the trailer. Dang near pushed me into an intersection. Pulled into a parking lot and could see the breaks weren't working. I went to fleet farm and bought some fluid. I had to pump it through the lines, so I don't know if I have a leak or what. I had some breaks on the way home.

I only had to put $100 in gas in too. crazy Pay to play I guess.

The driveway is poured! The driveway is poured!! Oh baby, does it look nice! Cant drive on it til late next week, but it is poured! Hooray! I am almost embarrassed to say how excited I am about a driveway crazy. Guess I am not 22 years old anymore.

On the flip side, Tzone, you need to get some more bids for yours. I talked to my guy about you and he said he loses bids all the time in the cities if he bids $3/sf and travel expenses. His son works for Mortenson (big contractor) and he said the going rate is $2.75-$3.00 down there. Thought you might like to hear that! grin

We went in at Crane Lake but traveled through Sand Point and then the Namakan narrows into Namakan Lake.

Here is where we camped.

Looking east.

It is about 14 mile to camp. It takes 1/2 hr. at 30 mph.

It is always a lot of fun. We generaly do two or three trips a year into Voyagers. In 2002 through 2005 I spent 126 days in the park. We have been doing Voyagers since the fall of 1999.

I've been following this thread for some time. Some great camps on here! I thought I'd share some pics of our camp in East Central FL that has been evolving for 30yrs +. It's located on a 7500 acre cattle ranch with abundant game and fishing. It'd been a great place for the dad's and families.
