Who was looking for the pink camo .223? I saw one come up for sale in my area.
Bolt action, may have been an axis as well.
Something clever here.

GG, THAT changes everything. here I thought we had this special bond that only owners of the same gun share and now.....nothing. A Savage? You will be lucky to hit an 8 foot circle at 50 yards with that thing! (just kidding of course, they are fine guns). I am gonna go into town later in my Chevy truck....oh, wait...I looked at it closer and it is a Ford! Now that you are back at home and out of the hospital, I kinda figured you needed someone to jerk your chain a little!

I'm just feeling dumber than a fence post for booting my description. Still looking for a scope, bases and rings. I have a scope to put on it, but not what I ultimately plan on topping it with.

I think I'm going to have to buy a black lefty and paint it. She wants it VERY pink!

Look at some of those places that wrap the stocks in whatever color/pattern you want.\
Sorry but the name of the process evades me at the moment.

you sure it is a fence post or maybe it is a tree? Hey man, it happens to all of us. I could tell you about the time I....no, I wont! But I have been there, believe me. Look on the bright side, now you know what someone from California feels like every day!

Nothing wrong with a savage, unless you got something against tiny groups.
+ 1 to that !

I'm currently doing a 280AI build in a savage action. I've had great luck with them, more so than the remingtons. they are only good for tomato stakes and kindling.

Not me. I dont have any deer decoy stories in my background.
I do have a story about seeing an otter that turned out to be a rooster pheasant though. Hey, running through the grass....they look kinda alike from the back!

Picked up bases and rings for the Axis tonight. Splurged on the stainless rings. Should look nice on the rifle. Going to go ahead and set it up with a Cabela's Pine Ridge I have. The money tree is drying up a bit. I will upgrade the scope later. Can't wait to get to the range and put this gun through it's paces.

Standard Weaver bases space out too far apart for this short tubed scope, so back to Gander for a set of extended bases. Going to hang onto the shorties just in case I need them when I switch out the scope. Can't wait to get to the range!

That was my suggestion for Chickenbuck. Plays with ratchets is a great Indian name tho.
