Yeah, he pretty well screwed the pooch last night. To a degree, one can excuse the misses when he's under pressure, but when he flat out can't even get the ball in the same time zone on those long sideline routes, that's just excusable.

I turned the channel after the interception runback for the 3rd TD. too painful, I felt sorry for them that they had to play the whole game. they shoulda picked some random fan and put him in for ponder.

yup, spent a few days with some other members from here and in a week I'll be headed out to do some shooting goats of my own. was proud to be with badluck when he shot a really nice buck that had a third horn growing out of his head. pretty sweet, I videoed the shot. I'll post it whenever I get it from him. buck was over 15" on both sides with impressive spread and mass. wall hanger for sure. hoping to meet up with EFW next week if it all works out. I'm a huntin fool!

Here's a long shot I did 2 years ago. this was on the hunt with flyboyflem and evil twin. one of the most memorable hunts I've ever been on. this vid is me shooting a doe antelope right after flyboyflem got hifrom the same herd. Dave, there is an old tradition in my family that you NEVER GIVE someone a knife. A knife is bought for a penny or what ever coin is handy in their pocket. If they have no coin in their pocket you give them one. As Grandpaw Cyrus explained to me, a GIVEN knife will cut your friendship. A SOLD one will not. Just a tradition my family has always followed.

If you have to take a second shot then you probably shouldn't have taken the first shot.

That's cool Stan. I love that kind of lore. Out east in Pennsylvania, many camps have a Deer Sinch hanging on the wall. A Deer Sinch is a piece of wrought iron about 2 1/2 ft. long, with a barbed point on one end, and a circle or loop on the other end. The story goes, that you take this out on the night before the opener, find a buck, stuff the point up his arse and hook the loop over a fence post. Come back the next morning, and it's a sinch to get a deer. Very bad ju-ju to not have the sinch in camp for deer season.

I shot the 300 wby today, its always on, peace if mind. It gave me the usual .4" group @ 100. God I love that rifle. Your knife, is so sharp... I could shave my face with it with no question. But I need my face hair, so I won't. Lol

.4" Dave? Man, that's nice! I've got to think the elk don't really appreciate getting hit with that one whole heck of a lot.

Uff-duh! We are back from a trip to the deer less north woods. It took April and 6 hours to rebuild a deer stand that had been demolished by Ma Nature. It could have been wind or bears, there were signs of both. There was very little deer sign, but grouse seemed to be plentiful.
We only got one stand done, so there is a ton of work still to do.
Camp is where you make it.

Just got back from visiting my sister at White Earth Lake north of Detroit Lakes. Returned to Twin Cities cross country through Ottertail County from Perham to Ashby. Bean fields really getting combined and lots of deer visible on edges of fields and woods from 4:30 until I hit I-94. Looks like lots of deer in Ottertail County.

Lotta deer around Perham. I have a cabin and some land on Big Pine, and I have seen some BIG deer out on my morning runs when up there.
