Hi Red,
Apparently, the NRA did a piece in the Rifleman dated Apr 1990 on Febiger firearms. You can probably contact them and get a copy of the article. There may be some info in the article about places to look for parts, etc.

Does it come in Red and Black plaid? Is it wool?

Hi Gene, Thanks for sharing the pictures. Really nice rifles! The Febiger/Baker and Savage 1903 and 1909 look very similar, and you can certainly see a family resemblance with the 1912 semiauto, also. I wonder if Savage Arms licensed the design or vice-versa. According to my catalog of the period, you should be able to pick up a magazine for your 1912 for $0.25 Mike

The Febigers were considered a patent infringement by Savage and Savage sent out letters to dealers warning them. I also have been told that the action taken by Savage did get them to stop production.

As I perfect my technique I think I will have a major market for it with those selling their gun on line!!!! (I already bought a couple guns were I think someone really did touch-up the photos!!!) P.S. MADDOG - There still are some 1912's available in this country for under the $150 you paid for yours!!!! AND THE TOMATOES I GREW ON IT CAME OUT REALLY GOOD LAST YEAR!!!

Haha, thats cool. I'm glad I got the one I did cause I'd hate to have to find a forearm for that one.
I just got back from picking up the ski-boose cause I'm taking the kids fishing to the moose camp this weekend and I missed the delivery guy with my 1905, I'm pissed. Now I gotta wait till 3 to find out what I got, I hate buying sight unseen. I'll post some pics of it later in the day after it gets here and I soak it in snake oil.

Just send them to me Todd and I will do the research for you, free of charge! Mike...
All said, the Savage 99 is a genius of a rifle. Although no longer produced, it remains highly revered, as it was the foundation from which Arthur Savage built one of America's great gun companies. >> (Jon Y. Wolfe) <<

Todd, you only have one 1912 mag there, it's the one that says automatic on it and has the pin. If you don't have a 1912 get ahold of me and we'll work something out for that mag if it's just a spare.
Steve, you sure you got your models right?

Nice work on the restoration!
Interesting to see the legal document - great historical significance.
Thanks for sharing the photos, Mike
