Price for both rifles as a set is $5,000 plus actual shipping and full insurance.

Please contact me with any questions. I will deal with interested parties in the order they express interest, but if someone behind you says I'll take it then I will ask for a decision to buy or pass within 24 hours. I will have to determine who is "interested", but just asking for more pictures probably won't be enough to qualify.

Price for the .375 Custom Safari Express by itself is $3,200 plus actual shipping and insurance. Same conditions apply. At this time I'd prefer to either sell them both as a matched pair or just sell the .375 and keep the .30-06.

Serial numbers are consecutive in the first digit, as in 1234 2234 (not the actual numbers). Both of these rifles function superbly and are extremely accurate. Both are in very good to excellent condition, with normal wear on feed rails and action area. The .375 has a few shiny rub marks on the barrel but no scratches, the .30-06 has one rub mark that I can see. The actions are both as slick as anything I've ever worked they were hand honed by the Custom Shop. Lugs were squared and they have Wolff firing pin springs.

In the .375 I've tried Speer 235, Sierra 250, Nosler 260 Partitions and AB, 270 Hornadys, 270 A-Frames and 270 TSX they all feed like greased ice. This rifle will feed empty cases as fast or as slow as you want to work the action. It is extremely accurate. I can post group after group of 4 or 5 shots under an inch.

The .30-06 is equally accurate, equally as slick and feeds and functions equally well; it will feed empty cases also. (Why someone would hunt with empty cases is beyond me, but if you do, these rifles will feed them. wink )

I can work with a potential buyer about a layaway situation (60-90 days) but would require a non-refundable deposit of 10% down.

As always, I offer a three day inspection. If you don't like the rifles for any reason you may return them within three days of receipt in the same condition received and I will refund the full purchase price, but you would pay for shipping and insurance both ways.

Will get pictures of the .30-06 made and posted by tomorrow.

P.S. These originally came with McMillan Winchester Super Grade style stocks but I changed them over to the BDL style. They were custom inletted by McMillan for these M70 barreled actions.

Searching the soul, simplifying maybe.

Thought long and hard about that .375. It truly is a magnificent rifle and the hunting gods have already smiled on it in Africa. The .30-06 has taken it's share of deer and an elk here in Idaho. Winchester may or may not ever make LH stainless rifles again. I figure once these are gone I'll never see their like again.

But I'm getting down to a core group of rifles and a .30-06 will be plenty enough for any hunting I do from here on out. So if the .30-06 doesn't sell that's fine with me, I'd sort of like to keep it. But they were born as a set of "twins" and it would be nice to keep them together.

And in the end I'd rather see the .375 go to someone who can really use it and enjoy it, and for it to continue to do what it was meant to do in the field rather than sit and gather dust.

Holy cow! Everyone east of the Mississippi river knows you can't kill an Idaho elk with a pea shooter like an '06. wink It'll just bounce off their 3 inch thick hide.

That's why the .375! With good TSX bullets I've gotten as much as 4-5 inches of penetration on broadside shots, long as you don't hit a rib going in. wink

C'mon, what else are you guys gonna spend your income tax refunds on, somethin' frivolous like groceries?

And don't forget that economic stimulus check that's coming. Uncle Sam wants you to buy this rifle, it's good for America! So do your patriotic duty and say those three little words ... smile
