Got a complimentary Sportsman's Guide in the mail. They're advertising a 98 Mauser hinged trigger guard. Says it's blued-steel. $99.97!!! Anyone familiar with it?

I have one of those and if you're not too particular, it'll work just fine.

BTW, it's the same one that Gun Parts Corporation sells for $82.65.

blackburn is top of the line & usually has a very long waiting list. i prefer to make my own.
bobs gunparts has fn hinged bottom metal for about $40 & about $15 for the latch & pins, but they no longer have any of the floorplates so i had to convert a military floorplate to work.
i also convert military triggerguards by adding a hinged floorplate & sculpturing the trigger bow.

on the bottom is one of my converted fn t-guards from bobs, i still have to do a little tweaking on the floorplate where i welded on a peice of flatbar to make it a straddle style, i made it a litttle longer than normal.got about $60 in it.
middle is just a standard military guard & top is a sculptured & hinged triggerguard that i converted from a 2 hole turk guard. i'm still shaping the release lever. got a whole $15 tied up in it so far
