Very nice groups for any rifle!

Hello Calhoun
I can remember having an Older model 99 EG in 300 Savage and it did not group as well as this Economy Model ? I guess all the bells and whistles don't amount to much if the barrel is not a good one, so Newer Is Better in this ones case.. The General.

General -

If you can get it for 250-300, then I'd grab it and giggle all the way home.

Think about it guys! That's one hell of a hunting rifle for $300.00. Sure, it has birch wood on it, but it's still a Savage 99 which means it's light weight, reliable, accurate and that round under belly means it's a pleasure to carry in the woods.

Not the stuff that makes a safe queen, but a better hunting rifle cannot be had for $300.00

Hello kevin
actaul Cash Value I have in this Tack driver is $250.00 exactly what I gave for the model 219 single shot rifle in 30-30 I swapped for this. I am very Pleased with the way this one performs and it will be my main deer hunting rifle this fall in Middle Tennessee. Dont let anyone fool you to think these Newer Model 99's are not tack drivers as this one Proves taht with me..I am a Hunter and shooter not a collector and this one will be used heavy in the woods for hunting. Regards, Thegeneral.
