I have several old weavers with this type reticle, and was wondering if anyone still made it? It is crackerjack for woods type hunting. I know it is not the ideal benchrest reticle, but it is unbeleivably fast for targets to 200yds

Any makers out thhere still offering this style reticle?

There's a Zeiss Conquest reticle along those lines:

If you mean the old, single tapered post w/o a crosswire, I don't know of any.
But I do know of a few that work very much like it did. Spent my formative years using both the Post and the Post & Crosswire reticles.
You might like a German #1. Very bold. The one on my 4X Leupold covers about 8 inches at 100 yds. The widely spaced, horizontal bars tell you if you are canting and help snap your eye to the center.
The Leupold Post and Duplex I like alot too. Similar, but better than the old Post & Crosswire designs.
I'm sold on the heavier reticles. Went to a German 4a some time ago for night hunting. But, when I discovered how they help with fast shots, and up close, I started to change everything over to the heavier reticles. As long as you aren't doing any long range, small varmit shooting, they work well. E

Trijicon offers such in their AccuPoint scope, although it mostly is a support for the lighted triangle you use to aim. If the lights doesn't show because of conditions, the post works well.
