Has anyone out there ever seen or used one of these/ it is a bottom metal /clip set up for a Remington 700. just wondering if it is any good?Pretty reasonable price...I'm wondering if it is a viable alternative to the regular bottom metal set up that is stock.

I actually have one of these in an older 700 chambered in 280 Remington. I have used this "Kwik Klip" and am surprised by the effeciency of this after market item. The best thing I like is the cartridge is presented in a almost straight feed into the chamber and feeding is effortless. I beleive they are sold by Cabela's.

It is not built near as sturdy as a Badger Ordnance, but for the price it is a pretty decent setup. It feeds good and locks in place securely. It is made up aluminum primarily so it is light in weight although not real pretty if you like blue steel and wood. It is good enough that I would buy another.

i have installed several for clients. i have not had any complaints. they are not finely machined blued steel but your not paying that price. they do allow a person with a remington 700 to convert it to a removeable magazine design that works well without a bunch of stock or action alterations.

I might be interested if it is for a long action. I do have a rifle I could make it work in. Let me know a price if it is for a LA.

My buddy has one on his .30-06 and one of his mag split open. The welding tack that holds the mag together at the rear failed. This is on one of his 3 mags he's got for it. Never had any problems with the others though.

I 'm glad you mentioned that. I'll take a look at mine and see what I can do to keep it from happening. And worst case I have a wire feed, Moto tool and files. I wouldn't go out of my way to look for one, but if the price was right I wouldn't turn one down either. The only reason I bought one was that it was cheaper then the ADL to BDL kits
I was able to find. Would I put one on a rifle that was going to be used real hard? Nope ,but for what I do with that particular rifle no problem. And I did find some surplus mil magazines that might adapt real easily with a little welding, grinding and cutting.
