Had this in the reloading forum with no answers.
300 WSW 130 grain TTSX
Looking for a starting load. Barrel is a 11 twist Tikka/Sako barrel.
I know Federal factory loads these, has anybody shot them yet?

The best load I have found is:
130 gr ttsx
63.5 gr varget
fed mag primers
ww brass
2.850 coal
about 3400 fps and this load turned in a 0.550 group! work up to this load, not hot in my rifle(browning stainless stalker) but may be in yours

Brock's dad, My 300wsm like R-15. Not home now to give exacts but it will be close to varget loads..mine is consistently hovering around 3300 and .75 " groups..

The Barnes website pointed me to varget. Load enough to hit 3400ish (more was a little hot with Varget for my Sako 85) and you have a deer death ray.

Sounds like great deer medicine - would you guys use the 130 Barnes on heavier game like black bear or elk? I'm just starting to use my .300 WSM (Win 70 Coyote) for hunting this year...
