This has definitely become one of the best threads on the Campfire. Thanks for getting it started. Thanks Amigo. The .44 magnum has proven to be such an outstanding all around cartridge for my type of shooting, hunting, recreating, etc and this thread appears to be proof that I am far from alone in appreciation for the round and it's history. Grin!! I was purely "photo hunting".  The wiping out of the species is very sad really. It will be interesting to eventually possibly learn a true cause. In the meantime, I am sure some of our local 24HR CF kooks can extrapolate a link to Jade Helm and the international banking community.

It is a fine pistol, unfortunately I've never shot a critter with it. When I've carried is hunting got skunked every time.

It is a little known fact that women can feel the confidence that Men exude who carry a Model 29. When you walk into a room carrying a Model 29 .44 Magnum, concealed or otherwise, the temperature goes up a few degrees from the women getting exited about seeing a man's man. Beer instantly gets colder. Other so-called "men", and metro-sexuals instantly get jealous. Older trophy animals actually seek out men carrying Elmer Keith's favorite, knowing that today is a good day to die, and are actually HONORED to be taken cleanly with a .44 magnum. The venison actually tastes better, and knives stay sharper, longer in the presence of a Man and his Model 29. It's all true.

That is truly a COOL photo! I went through a number of DA Smith .45 ACP revolvers,but eventually grew tired of fiddling with moon clips. Still cool to look at though.
