Does anybody know if a regular person can perform a trigger job on a Savage 111? This gun does not have the accu-trigger. The factory trigger stinks and I was contemplating buying an aftermarket trigger but first wanted to see if the factory one could be adjusted. Thanks

Everything you now do is something you have chosen to do. Some people don't want to believe that. But if you're over age twenty-one, your life is what you're making of it. To change your life, you need to change your priorities.

The average guy can use the links posted by likes2shoot and do a decent job. If the trigger is an earlier 3 screw trigger, you will be happy with the results. The 3 screw trigger has a screw for sear engagement that later triggers do not have.

Take up and overtravel are simple. The real secret to a good light pull is to change the round wire with a lighter music wire. I got enough wire from a guy on Savageshooters.com to do 8 triggers. Let me know if you would like a piece of the wire.

Get a sharpshooter supply trigger. Non accutrigger savages give me fits, I haven't found a way to adjust them to give me a satisfactory pull. The sharpshooter trigger is excellent.
