Discontinued Windy Pass bag. This bag is very similar to the Cats Meow with a waterproof Versatech shell and Polargaurd II insulation. It is my understanding that the use of Versatech was discontinued due to cost of the fabric.
I slept all one night between tarps in a steady rain. When I woke up, three feet of the bag was in the rain (sleeping on a slope) and there was no dampness in filter or inside.
Size according to my measurements is 84x31x19. Stuff size was advertised as 9x19, but the best I can do is 9 x20. Weight is about xxx. I do not have the papers, and this is my best attempt to weigh on bathroom scales.
Bag is used but not abused. I do not believe it shows any wear. No spots or stains. I used it about 30 nights, of which 28 were on a cot in a tent. I have used it in an unheated tent at 15 degrees with no discomfort.
Stuff bag in pics is not included. I borrowed it to make pics.
Numerous reference posts of mine can be found on this forum. Additional can be furnished on request. Satisfaction guaranteed.
I found the Fission bag yesterday, which is the nearest to the Windy Pass I have found in the current bags offered by North Face. Major difference is the Windy Pass's waterproof (highly water resistant) Versatech shell and Polargaurd II insulation, make it heavier. A link to the Fission is description is: http://www.backcountry.com/store/TN...eping-Bag-20-Degree-Climashield-Neo.html
The Cats Meow model would still be a good comparison if the shell of that bag were water resistant.
