Was wondering how rare these are in this caliber. Not real familiar with them, but thought it would be a nice addition to the collection. Any info would help.

Winchester Model 64s arent common at all, most of the
ones you find are in 30-30. I have never encountered a
25-35, Im sure even a "rat" will bring good money. Just
my opinion.

Model 64's run from $250. 10% cond to $850. 90% condition. Blue book shows them in that range. Add. $200% for 25-35 cal which is rare in a 64. Suggest you check other gun listing/auction sites to see what they are asking for them in 25-35.

EXTREMELY rare in the .25/35...even a Standard "rat" will easily bring $2K if original....

Blue Book values are a joke for old Winchesters...

If you have any 90% '64's in any caliber that are original for $850 please let me know.

One of the best finds I ever stumbled across was an original Standard in .219 Zipper, bolt peep and all, for $1,400, 2 years ago. and a 95% gun to boot....

That is out of touch with reality - although, admittedly, the only resource at some folk's disposal.

The BLUE BOOK is only accurate for some guns and only in some areas, but not for all guns, everywhere.

Successful (sold) internet (worldwide) autions are the best guide as to a particular firearm's worth - as the value of some seem to change with the wind.

Standard-grade .30-30 Model 64's, in excellent condition, will easily bring $900 and more, with Deluxes (factory checkering, etc) will easily double that money - unless a seller knows not what they have.
The same rifles in .32 Special only add spice to the price - never mind a rarity like one in .25-35.

I know a guy who sold a Winchester Model 55 in 30-30
on the internet a couple of years ago and got twice the
money he was expecting. It looked like it had laying in
a barn for a very long time.

Never personally seen one in 25-35. And I've seen alot of Winny's.

I've a 30-30 in 95%+ that just sits in the safe......

I just bought a Mod 64 at the Grand Rapids , MI gun show about three weeks ago. Mine is in 32 Win. Spec. Both the wood and bluing appear to be original and in excellent shape.I would guess the % of blue at 85% , but that admittedly in merely a guess on my part. Mine is the standard rifle with 24 inch barrel , and the rifling is sharp and shiny. It also has a Williams reciever sight which I would have installed myself anyway. No extra holes in the top for scope mounting which is good because that decreases the value considerably.These rifles came in calibers 25/35 , .219 Zipper , 30/30 and 32 Win Spec. The 219 is most rare and is worth 350% more , or so I've been told.
I thought that the 64 was a model variant of the 94 , but have since read that it is really an improved version of the Win. Model 55. According to the serial mine was made in 1949. I paid 600 + sales tax for mine and couldn't be happier.
Bought some loaded ammo and also reload equipment and components from Graf's. Got that today ( 01-06-08 )

I still think it is a variant of the M94. I have a 55 also and a 1940's M94.....

I might have to think about a Mod 55 next. I hadn't even heard of a 55 until I got the bug for my 64. If I can scrape the funds up I'll try to get a 55. Also , I never had a desire for a lever action anything before my 64 , but I sure got the bug now !

If is oringnal that was the buy of the lifetime. I run into those from time to time in mint condition, but the serial numbers don't match the years they were built and they didn't have bolt peep sights. they are like any rare winchester, there are counterfits out there.
