Hi All,

I know this is a pretty specific question, but . . .

Can anyone provide any info about the number of ATVs one can expect to see on the trail along Lost Creek starting from CR 8 and heading north into the northern section of GMU 24 in the area southwest of Sand Peak? The time period I am interested is during 1st rifle season.

I am packing into this area and it is my understanding that this is a pretty popular place to hunt with a good number of elk. I am just wondering how quiet it is going to be?

Thanks.

Hunted just north of Sand Peak 2nd season last year, took horses
in from Ripple creek pass and our camp was between Pagoda peak and
Sand Peak. We were in the roadless area, but down below where
you're talking there were lots of ATV's. Came out and made a trip to Meeker for grain and they were unloading them in the
road on CR 8 because the parking lot was full of trucks and trailers. Might be be better during 1st season though. Good luck, it's beautiful country.
