Anyone shooting these? Shot some groups with the 68 gr Hornady loaded by Ultramax and was shocked at the groups. Getting ready for an egg shoot and thinking these will be just the ticket, but finding them is another story. Thinking I might be able to find the Sierra 69 grs instead.
Would Varget or Tac be a good choice for these?

Funny thing is, out of 9 different 223 rifles (bolt and AR platforms), the 68 gr Hornady bullets were NOT the accuracy bullets. Sierra or Nosler 69 gr HPBT's are VERY good in accuracy and prairie dog elimination testing.

I have no experience with 69 gr. Sierras, but Ive shot a pile of 68 gr. Hornadys out of a 1 in 10" twist Hart Bbl. They shoot so well,I literally never felt the need to even try the Sierras. My bullet of choice past 300 yds. on buck-toothed varmints. And Yes, Varget or Tac would both be good choices... Ingwe

Well, I managed to get over to Huntingtons today and nearly clean em out of their latest shipment of Sierras. Luckily they had the 69 gr match. I loaded up some and will try them asap. Headed to Modoc County for squirrels a week from tomorrow and want to have something loaded in case the wind picks up.

Some guys turn in unbelievable gps. shooting those 68/69's out to 500 yd. ranges. But if u can get ahold of some 65 JLK Low Drags, they might be a bit better yet-- www.swampworks.com

I have only shot the Nosler 69 custom comps in my 7 " twist mini-14 using H335. 1.25" 3 round groups, which is great for an old mini. I could not get these to shoot better than 55gr NBT or Sierra blitzking in my stevens 200, these shot .4 to .5 moa, even though the 9" twist should work. The 69s were about 1 moa.
