I was going to buy another Swarovski AV 3x10x42 and noticed a Kahles Helia CT 3x9x42 on the shelf.I compared the Swarovski to the Kahles and to a Leupold vx3 3.5x10x40,and ended up purchasing the Kahles.Do any forum members own this Kahles scope,and what is your impression of it?To me it compares very favorably to the Swarovski AV but for a few hundred dollars less since it was on at a clearance price.

I have a Kahles Helia KX 3X9X42 on a 25-06 and a Helia CL 3X10X50 on a sako 7mag.....I am very impressed with their clarity. Kahles fan for sure.

Kahles are rated very favourably over here; at one time they were a sister company to Swarovski..Over the past 6 months theres been a lot of rumours and speculation about whether the company will carry on ect, so many only concern would be what repair/serivicing support will be avilable in the future..
