Palmetto, Mine came in 2 weeks ago after a 2 month backorder. I have a Stag 6 with Leupold 4.5X14 on it and the eye relief and height works really well. The mount seems stout, but I only use it for ground hogs and some informal F class shooting. I was disapointed that it was made in China as I thought that the Burris rings were made over here. The sticker that said China was microscopic.

I have not seen these before. I have wondered why manufacturers other than SWAN, LaRue etc, have not jumped on the 'tactical' bandwagon before. I would buy one if it were a QD design with throw levers. Link to specs and picture I just called

I saw one in a local store yesterday afternoon, looked well made but not up to the same level as my Larue mounts.

I had one on backorder and cancelled it and went with Larue. I'm very happy with my decision. Here's a couple pics....... Larue LT-104: Burris: Armalite:

I have 2, they seem to work great. I know one thing, they won't come loose. They have the heaviest mounting bolts I have seen.

I have two as well. If I had known they were chinese, I never would have given them (Burris)my money. That being said, they do exactly what they are supposed to do and I have no complaints other than country of origin. I have Larue mounts as well, but for recreational guns I do not need whiz bang tactical. They extra 1 minute it takes to remove my scope and PEPR mount using a conventional wrench or pliers is not going to make or break my coyote hunt.

I'm not sure it is Chinese made. Burris makes its stuff either in the P.I. or in the States, I believe. I have a 1.5-6 XT that's made here, at least that's what it reads on the scope, and the 30mm mounts I bought were done in the P.I. But I could well be mistaken, as I have been many times before, as you need a scorecard to keep up with where stuff is made. E.g., I was very disappointed that Blackhawk makes a great deal of their products in Vietnam. Just one more reason to go with TacTailor.
