Planted a second round of corn in the garden several weeks ago (trying to have corn all season long) and the new sprouts were just getting brutalized by our local bunny population, sooooooo out came the .22 LR with the CB rounds. Little Big Horn had nothing on this shoot out.
Anyway, I cleaned and seperated out the forelegs, hindlegs and backstrap immediately after they hit the ground. Got them soaking in saltwater and gonna fry them tomorrow. Now, for the question: I have always hunted winter bunnies, not mid summer rabbits, because since I was a kid dangers 'lurked' with the latter. Threats of disease loomed. Anyway, I check them out really good, No bots under the skin, No white lesions on the liver, Or any abnormal growths, just seemed like healthy desert cottontails.
So is this a go or no go for dinner tomorrow night???
Thanks,

Tell him the right answer is shifting to a .284-.308, and for the right fee you'll convert his 7-08 so it works a lot better on deer in the brush. Muledeer
