A couple of Further notes:

Instructors Weapons showed a decided tendency toward the following:

Larue Mounts.

ACOG SCopes.

Streamlights.

Single Point Slings.

AND NOT MUCH ELSE.

Junk came off the students guns at the standard rate of 1 piece of junk per student per day (or 36 accessories cast aside).

there is a good defensive carbine class/club running out of Jacksonville. They shoot at the Lake City range. Check over on ARFCOM, the Florida section of the hometown forums for info.
