Anyone running the 110 grain Barnes TTSX in their 270 winchester? I picked up some of these and was hoping someone may have some load data.

Seems like I have a lifetime supply of H4831 and IMR 4350 so if your data uses either of those powders even better.

I run 56gr of IMR4350 with the TSX version

Are you up early?...or late? What time is it there?

I've used both of those with 110's, either one will do you just fine.

I haven't shot enough of them yet to really form a good opinion. I've tried IMR4350, H4831, R19, and H4895 with them in my Sako 75 Finnlight. The best accuracy was with 47grns of H4895, but they were only chronoing 2950 fps. I bumped up to 49grns of H4895 and got to 3030fps avg, but accuracy went South. I did get them into the 3100fps range with 4350, but the accuracy was horrible. Like I said, haven't ran enough of them yet. I intend to visit 4350 and 4895 again with a variance in seating depth to see if things come together. They would have to give at least 3050fps with sub moa accuracy consistently for me to use them on deer. That particular rifle gives sub MOA with 150 Hdy ILs at 2800 and 130NBTs at 2960(~1" at 200 with the nbts, consistent as well), so there's really no advantage to them thus far. Maybe I'll find a magic combo with more testing. I may tinker with them in my model 700 270win as well.

Has anyone else had trouble getting these bullets to group well with near max loads?

I don't mean to hijack this thread, since I don't reload for the 270 Winchester. However, I recently shot the Federal Premium load with the 110 gr TTSX out of my Son-in-Law's Savage (20" barrel). On my first range trip I shot a 3-shot group of just under 1" at 100 yards with this load. The first 2 shots were touching with the 3rd shot expanding the group to just under 1". I did not chrono this load at that time, since I was shooting other factory 270 Win ammo for accuracy. However, on the next range visit, I shot 1 time over the chronograph with this ammo and the velocity 15' from the muzzle was 3,330 fps, which was just 70 fps less than what Federal states. The 90 + degree temperature might have had something to do with it but that's still pretty good. With the cost of this ammo, that's all I'm gonna shoot for now. My Son-in-Law will be back from Iraq in time to do some deer hunting this year. So, hopefully we'll get to see how well this load does in the field.

Thank you, Sir. I'd love to do that if I ever figure out how to post pictures. My computer savvy leaves alot to be desired. You might say I'm one microchip shy of a full load.
