Seamount,

Thanks for the information. It's gratifying when someone takes the time to answer a question.

Pete, I had a trigger job done on my MKII trigger by Timney Trigger. The old man that started the company did the work personally. They didn't have the after market trigger at that time. He used a small set screw to adjust the overtravel. A hole was drilled and tapped into the rear of the trigger and the set screw was locked in place with a thread locking compound once the overtravel was set. It's a great trigger job. It's set at about 3 lbs.

Dave,

Thanks for that...Its a while since I shot my Ruger but I had it out on the range yesterday and noticed the overtravel more than I ever remember...I'll price up the cost of doing that as opposed to to fitting a RB or Timney myself..

Thanks again,

Regards,

Peter

Just dropped in a Spec-tech trigger in my hawkeye. Had to take about 2 passes with a file on each side of it. Other n that it was a drop in fit. Took longer to pull the stock than it did to swap triggers.

Just the slightest hesitation and then its a smooth clean break.
Still messing with the pull wieght. Nice though as you can adjust it without pulling it out of the stock

For a Model 77, Mk II aftermarket trigger, the ease of intallation award goes to Rifle Basix. None of the others come up on the radar screen compared to the RB.
