Finally got the truck paid off but getting to the point where it needs some new sneakers. I was thinking about getting some Mickey Thompson MTZs. Does anyone have a review of these tires before I bite the bullet? I think the sidebiters look friggin cool grin

They're pretty bad ass, I was going to get a set of those but wound up opting for the Toyo Open Country MTs...better wear and I got a sweet deal on them

I have a friend who has a set of MT Baja Claws on his rock crawler, and he's never had problems. They are okay, though not great on the highway.

From 1st hand experience frown If you get into any off road areas with a lot of rocks, get something with a 3 ply sidewall, to help prevent ruined sidewalls. I like the BFG All-Terrain TA, which is also pretty good on the highway.

I've never owned the MT's but will second the BFG AT's, I've had a couple sets of them and have had good results, though they WHINE on the highway!

Most aggressive tread tires regardless of AT or MT are going to make noise. Hell, the stock Firstone tires on my mom's suburban make a little whine.

my neighbor has a set of 35s on his Jeep. They really perform in both sand and mud.

Had a set of the 33x12.50's Mickey Thompson MTZ's on my ranger. They were soft and absolutley hooked up on rocks. Did pretty good in the snow ice and mud as well.

They seemed pretty quiet on the road. Seems like I got a lil more than 30k HARD miles on them. Woulda gotten a bit more if I would have been up on my alignment and rotating.
